Check list and accommodation.
Please wear light , loose and comfortable clothing ... white is asked for if you can ( only compulsary for Casa Healing times and days).
Feel free to wear whatever you wish during the free time .. comfortable and casual clothes are normally the best choice here. Bear in mind light clothing, cottons, etc are the best for the daytimes as the average temperature is around 28 - 34 degrees.centigrade. In the evenings and early mornings a jacket or pullover may be required. in the Braziian winter season . In their summer season a light rain jacket and /or umbrella for the rain that is interspersed with brilliant and hot sunshine! Please bring sandals / and comfortable walking shoes , swimming costume / towel , toiletries, vitamins.
Please remember the Healing Entities in Abadiania always stipulate that visitors must CONTINUE to take their medication while at the Casa De Dom Inacio healing centre, so please make sure you bring a sufficient supply with you. Other items to bring would be ..sun cream , torch and mosquito plug in machine and world adaptor, (easily found in most airports, travel shops or electrical stores) reading material , Camera (Joao permits photos except in the healing sessions/rooms.).paper and pen for notes, perhaps a personal stereo/walkman/ipod. Travel iron. Try not to bring any expensive electrical items, as the power surge in Brazil is inconstant and they can blow.... bear this in mind when thinking of bringing personal computors, a hairdryer would be o.k as not expensive to replace if at all it blows. An ALARM clock and/or mobile phone is very handy so you dont need to rely on anyone else to wake you in the mornings! ( Nor to rely on the local cock crows!)
Some mobiles may pick up the local Brazilian networks, but is a bit inconstant at times on roaming and also very expensive . Most people find texts work. Otherwise there are some places in the village with exellent facilities to phone home that work out very cheap. It is also possible to give your friends and family the guest house number and they can arrange a time to call you , if they have your room number will be easier. Batteries can be bought. in the village, as well as basic items like soap, sweets, biscuits , tissues souveniers and whites for the casa days and there is an exellent shop selling lovely health products from the Amazonas.. specializing in toiletries and oils "Elements" There are also a few health food products for sale in the village and fresh drinking coconuts .( good for cooling the body and re-hydrating .) Colourful Brazilian clothes and hammocks.
There are ample internet cafes .and theres a bookstore with materiel pertaining to the Spiritist work at the casa and in general.
You may bring your personal laptop if you feel you will need to catch up whilst away, as there are wireless connections in the village and pousada... however if you feel usage will be only minimal , maybe better to leave the laptop at home and use one of the several internet cafes available in the village... and save space in luggage for crystals! Also i would advise, it is better to try to keep computor work to a minimum whilst here , in order to give as much attention as possible to being in a state of relaxation and let to and to leave work behind , unless you need to bring some work with you , then is fine.
Pocket money for: prescribed herbs (usually between 2 to 4 months supply costs from £30 to £60 depending if you require 2 or 4 months supply) a few light crystal bed sessions ,(if prescribed for you, or simply because you wish to experience one or two , costs £16 or £17 per forty minute session.) They are very beneficial and highly enjoyable and relaxing. The cost of freshly made juices and teas is quite reasonable in the juice bars in the village. All mineral bottled water is energized by the spirit entities and can be bought in the casa shop at no extra charge. Ordinary mineral water is on sale in the village or pousadas at low cost. Souvenirs like crystals or stones, jewels, or local handicraft, spiritually related books can be bought at the casa shop also for a minimal cost.

In the case of extra excursions for the day - you would need to bring a little extra - but in general I would say £250 to £300 per two weeks would be enough. Please ask me about this if you wish. BRING CASH IS BEST.
Please do NOT bring travellers checks as they are not possible to cash anywhere. You can change your money at the airport in Sao Paulo or Brazilia or Better still in your country.Dollars Pounds uk and Euros are sometimes exchangable in the village ( when changing money try to bring smaller notes as they are easier to change in the village.)
There is an international cash machine in Anapolis a half hour taxi ride away (for emergencies only, as i feel it is better to stay in the area if only here for 2 weeks.) There are no facilities for ATM cash machines in the village it is a small rural area. There are not many mosquitos here, and they are not the malarial type .... the mosquito plug in machine ,or if preferred ,repellant, will be more than enough to deal with the odd one or two. There are no requirements for innoculations ... nobody i know ever has them for this part of Brazil, but it is totally at your own discretion and responsibility.
At the time of writing no vaccinations are required for visiting Abadiania ...however if you do wish to have any it is entirely your own decision .

Please do not forget your passport,( with 6 months validity) all tickets ( including any bus or train tickets for part of journey in your country of origin.) Cash and any cards. Copy of travel insurance that covers repatriation, hospitilisation, accident lost luggage ect. PLEASE bring the filled in and signed indeminity forms that i provideon the website home page top right hand side , if you have not sent them to me previously .. and hand them to me on day of arrival.Phone numbers of any family friends you may wish to contact. Last but certainly not least ; an open heart and mind! With the readiness to release and cleanse any old ways of being that are not helping you to live a healthy life,be ready for the new.
There are a rich array of beautiful blessed and special crystals that come from this area and can be bought at the casa store or in the village... so budget for this if you wish to buy some on your trip.
We use a beautiful and cosy friendly Guest house that does NOT house larger groups as many of the other guest houses do and is therefore quiet and conjusive to the healing apmosphere here. It is very clean and well maintained. It has a lovely garden and looks out to the open countryside, is around the corner from an internet cafe ( you may also use internet and free phone skype at the guest house) The staff are very helpful and it a cocoon of safety and warmth. Is Five minutes from the Casa.
All rooms have ensuite shower and toilet and we have double single and twin.
